• Supporting the research agenda of my supervising professor, which consisted of finding literature, transcribing interviews, editing research papers, and conducting other research-related tasks

My responsibilities included:

• Leading approx. 75 campers and 25 staff members on a day to day basis, developing and creating programming, training staff members on how to be effective sleepaway camp counselors, solving interpersonal issues, and managing the happiness and satisfaction of those around me

• Establishing a camp gardening program which taught campers practical gardening skills as well as Jewish values related to sustainability and gardening

• Coordinating an on-site farmer’s market and inviting vendors and the community onto the farm

• Cultivating creative solutions to further engage consumers with a local business

• Feeding and maintaining a group of 2500 chickens, collecting approximately 1200 eggs daily

• Completing horticultural duties such as planting, watering, and harvesting a wide variety of fruits and vegetables

• Maintaining and cultivating 73 acres of farming space including pulling weeds, clearing debris, building new structures, and running a small farm stand
